We have made it our not-so-secret mission in life to beat the SAT and ACT. We also believe that test prep tutoring is really college prep tutoring, a way to help students not only see amazing score gains, but also develop skills that will make them successful in college and beyond. These skills include critical thinking and reading, strong organizational and study skills, persistence, self-advocacy, and self-care. We understand that test content, design, and strategies are not enough to be successful on Test Day; students must also be able to take a calm, confident, focused test to succeed. 1. We will never sell you a cookie-cutter “package” of hours. All of our test prep programs are customized to your student’s needs based on our proprietary assessment and their personal score goal. First, we will meet with your student in a 90-minute interview to help them discover themselves as a test-taker, and which is their best test, SAT or ACT. Then, we collaboratively design a personalized test prep program with your student’s specific needs in mind.
2. All of our tutors are experienced professionals. Most test prep companies “turn and burn” tutors every few months. Your carefully selected, expert tutor is a member of RTC's team. They will invest in your child's success and will write progress notes for you after every lesson.
3. We address the mental game of test-taking with proven mind-body strategies that help students take their best test. A third of RTC's team are Mindfulness Coaches, and we understand the importance of performance coaching for elite test-taking.
