The mission of the WT Enterprise Center is to apply the principles of business incubation as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurial development in order to foster economic growth for Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle region. Business incubation is a dynamic process of entrepreneurial development. The support and synergy found through the Enterprise Center help entrepreneurs overcome risk, isolation and barriers to success.

A total of $10,000 in funding is on the line for women entrepreneurs across the Texas Panhandle.

The Next Chapter Pitch Competition will soon open applications for three distinct tracks:
• Student Entrepreneur (WTAMU or Amarillo College students)
• Startup Business (Operating under 3 years
• Established Business (Operating 3+ years)

All applicants must be at least 51% woman-owned, for-profit entities operating within the 26-county Texas Panhandle region. Additional category requirements apply.

Ready to share your business story and compete for funding?

The Next Chapter Pitch Competition is coming soon, offering a total of $10,000 in awards across four categories: Student Entrepreneur ($750), Startup Business ($3,000), Established Business ($5,000), and the live voted People’s Choice Award ($1,250). Finalists will present live at The Next Chapter: Women’s Leadership Conference.

General Eligibility Criteria:
• Minimum 51% woman-owned, for-profit business
• Located within the 26-county Texas Panhandle region
• Student Category: Enrolled at West Texas A&M University or Amarillo College
• Startup & Established Categories: In good standing with the State of Texas, with clean background and credit checks
