None of this happens alone. WOWW works with 60+ learning partners across the Panhandle, and today we are thanking the Amarillo Zoo & Sanctuary. Through WOWW, the zoo brings students face to face with live animals and touchable biofacts, and its Safari Show On-The-Go even loads up real animals and brings them into classrooms for schools that cannot make the trip. Every program is tied to science curriculum, so it counts as learning, not just a fun day.

Here is where your gift goes, in plain terms. About $8 is what it takes to open a full year of WOWW experiences to one child. Your monthly gift helps cover that access, plus the buses, program fees, and reduced rates that keep cost from being the reason a kid misses out. One of WOWW's own programs, the Science Collaborative, brings 5th graders to the Don Harrington Discovery Center for a day of hands-on stations built around Earth, energy, and STEM, all tied to the science they are already studying, at no cost to the students. It is the kind of day that makes a whole science unit finally click.

Today we celebrate an incredible leader and a new chapter for WOWW.

As Mary Bralley retired on June 25 after her dedicated service as Executive Director of WOWW, we extend our deepest gratitude for her vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of students and educators across the Texas Panhandle. Mary's passion for experiential learning and educational excellence has helped shape WOWW into the impactful organization it is today. Her legacy will continue to inspire our work for years to come.

At the same time, we are excited to welcome Dr. Christina Cox as WOWW's new Executive Director.

Dr. Cox brings more than 20 years of experience in education, student development, leadership, and program administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Briar Cliff University, a master’s degree in Higher Education from Texas Tech University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Research from Texas Tech University. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences that support student success and expand educational opportunities.

Most recently serving as WOWW's Manager of Operations and Advancement Relations, Dr. Cox has already made a significant impact by leading experiential learning programs, cultivating community partnerships, securing grant funding, and supporting educational initiatives that benefit students across the region.

What an incredible year! Thanks to the support of our partners, donors, educators, and communities, WOWW provided meaningful learning experiences to more than 7,500 students at 49 schools during the 2025–2026 school year.

From arts and culture to science, history, and career exploration, students had the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and discover new possibilities for their futures.
