School’s out and summer is finally here! ☀️ We hope all our Owls have a safe, fun, and wonderful summer break. Enjoy every moment, and we’ll see you again in August! 💙🦉

☀️🦉What a day at Outdoor Ed! From hikes and games to skits, rockets, and nonstop laughs, 5th Grade’s day at Camp Don Harrington was packed with memories these students won’t forget anytime soon. 💙 A huge thank you to our amazing teachers and wonderful parent volunteers for fundraising, planning and helping make this incredible day possible! 👏

We are beyond grateful for this incredible team (and the many others!) who stepped in throughout the year to help make every event, fundraiser, celebration, teacher treat, and special moment happen at Olsen Park. PTO is only possible because of parents willing to give their time, energy, and talents despite already busy work and home lives, and we are SO thankful for every single person who stepped up this year.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, we’d love to have you join in the fun next year! PTO isn’t a club …it’s simply parents who want more for their students, teachers, and school community. There’s a place for everyone, and together we truly make a difference. 💙

Congratulations to Mrs. Hay’s on receiving the Bob Ashworth Award from AISD in recognition of her incredible 36 years at Olsen Park! ✨

Mrs. Hay’s has been the heart of Olsen Park by welcoming students, supporting families, helping staff, and keeping everything running with care, kindness, and dedication. Her impact on our school community is truly immeasurable.

As she prepares to retire at the end of this school year, we celebrate not only this well-deserved honor, but also the lasting legacy she leaves behind. Mrs. Hay’s will be greatly missed, and Olsen Park will forever be better because of her. 💙🦉

Longtime AISD secretary honored with Bob Ashworth Award Thelma Hays, retiring secretary of Olsen Park Elementary, received the Bob Ashworth Award for 2026 at the Annual Employee Recognition Banquet hosted by Amarillo ISD.
