A CONVERSATION WITH MONSIGNOR LOPEZ & AARON PARR '06
The legacy of Monsignor Richard Lopez at St. Pius X runs deep, despite his retirement from the classroom in 2014. Monsignor taught theology for 33 years at St. Pius X, all the while fulfilling his duties as a priest to a grateful community. President Aaron Parr '06 introduces Monsignor Lopez to perhaps a new generation that may only know him through second-hand stories, of which there are thousands. Alumni will especially enjoy hearing his familiar voice again and revisiting the stories that shaped their time at St. Pius X. Stay tuned to the end for a special prayer for YOU, as well.

As school starts next week in many place, here is a picture from the Summer 2025 Compassionate Way of the Grey Nuns that taught in Atlanta, including here at St. Pius X. I'm sure many of us will recognize those that taught not only at St. Pius X, but also at our elementary schools.

Two St. Pius X legends came back to visit today. Mr. R/Father Restrepo and Mrs. Jeanie Brieske!! Mr. R taught Theology from 1989-1997 and was Teacher of the Year in 1997. Mrs. Brieske was here from 1971-2003 and back as a substitute from 2004-2019. So many great stories!!!
