They grow up, part ways, and move on with their life. But, I’m always so happy I was a part of their storyline, a big part of their first chapters.

Luisa’s Child Care “Summer Child Care Program”🌻

Summer program in my daycare can be packed with fun and engaging activities for five year olds. These activities are scheduled 9am to 3pm and may include younger children that are also under my care. Summer activities can be categorized into outdoor games, arts and crafts, water play, science experiments, and more. Other options include nature scavenger hunts, water balloon games, puppet making, and simple science experiments. They can also enjoy water play, outdoor art, sensory bins, music and movement, picnics, and even gardening.

Here are some specific ideas:

Outdoor Activities:
* Water Play: Sprinkler Play, water balloon toss, water balloon dodgeball, or simply playing with water toys in a shallow basin.

* Nature Scavenger Hunts: Finding specific items in nature like leaves, rocks, or flowers.

* Outdoor Art: Painting rocks, sidewalk chalk art, or creating art with natural materials.

* Sports and Athletics: Setting up a simple obstacle course or playing with balls and hoops.

* Exploring the outdoors: learning about plants and animals.

Arts and Crafts:
* Puppet Making: Using paper bags, yarn, and other materials to create puppets.

* Painting: Using different techniques like finger painting, watercolor, or brush painting.

* Sensory Bins: Filling bins with materials like sand, water beads, or pasta for tactile exploration.

Other Fun Activities:
* Music and Movement: Dancing and singing along to music.
* Picnics: Enjoying a snack outdoors.
* Storytelling: Reading a book picnic style.

NOTE: The Summer Program is available based on the current age group enrollment. The maximum capacity is three children.
New enrollments are drawn from the Waiting List annually.
No availability for Summer 2026.

05/16/2026

The Summer Program will not be available this year, 2026.

If you would like to be added to the Summer Program Waiting List for next year, please submit the Inquiry Form from our website.

The age requirement for the Summer Program is 5 years old.

One to five days per week may be reserved. However, the same weekdays must be reserved every week, and a fixed weekly rate must be paid to secure a spot in the program. Rates are based on the number of days reserved, not on attendance. There are no refunds and no discounts when children do not attend Daycare.

We recommend having a backup sitter available to cover your child’s illness days and for the daycare’s weekday closing days that take place during the year, including the Summer.

To properly place your child on the waitlist, please provide your preferred start date, required schedule, and date of birth.

Once received, we will confirm your spot on our list.

Thank you.

“Fully Potty Trained” Qualifications:

When we say a child is “fully potty trained,” it means they’re all set to use the bathroom independently. This includes knowing when they need to go, getting dressed, using the toilet, wiping, and washing their hands—all without needing an adult’s help or reminders. Usually, this means they wear underwear all the time, don’t have accidents, and can tell you when they need to go.
Potty training is quite the opposite!

At Luisa’s Child Care, children who are ready for Potty Training (usually three to four years old) are required to wear disposable training pants (Pull-Ups).
