The heat of June Jazz Night 2 could not be beat! Featuring some stellar tunes from the Amarillo Jazz Society, directed by the always illustrious Jim Laughlin and featuring composer and saxophonist Drew Zaremba, the Amarillo evening transcended simple summer serenity and exploded into an unforgettable night of dazzling effervescence.

Be sure to come and visit us EVERY Tuesday night of June this year at 7:30PM on the Washington Street Campus!

Who's ready for more jazz? Amarillo College’s free 2026 Jim Laughlin June Jazz Series continues tonight, June 9, at 7:30PM on the Washington Street Campus at the Experimental Theatre Porch.

This evening's performance features the Amarillo Jazz Society alongside acclaimed saxophonist and composer Drew Zaremba, blending traditional big band and contemporary jazz sounds. Attendees are also invited to stay for the informal After Hours Jam from 9–10PM in the Amphitheater Pit for open musical collaboration.

Panhandle PBS Celebrates Route 66 Centennial with Special Programming Lineup 06/08/2026

In celebration of the Route 66 Centennial and the Texas Route 66 Festival, Panhandle PBS is broadcasting a special lineup of local programming throughout June that honors the history, culture, and public art of the iconic Mother Road.

The schedule features a three-part series titled In Open Air airing Thursdays at 7:30PM, which explores regional creative expression with episodes on June 11, 18, and 25. Additionally, viewers can watch the 1999 retrospective Route 66: A Journey Through Texas on Thursday, June 11 at 8PM, followed by a dedicated documentary on the famous landmark, Cadillac Ranch: 10 Cars, 10 Movements, 1 Stunning Performance, on Friday, June 12 at 8PM.

Amarillo College is kicking off JUNE JAZZ 2026 on Tuesday, June 2. Held from 7:30-9PM on the Washington Street Campus, the free weekly event features The Martinis. Members of the community are invited to grab their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a perfect evening of live, outdoor music. We can't wait to see you there!
