Senior Sunrise will be on Friday, September 4th at 7:00 AM at the RRHS Football Field. Bring your blanket or chair and pick up your senior shirt.

What a wonderful morning at Meet the Wildcats!

Our community came out in full force as we proudly introduced our football, volleyball, and cross country teams, along with our student trainers, cheerleaders, band members, coaches, and directors.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event such a tremendous success. Your energy and Wildcat pride were the perfect way to begin an exciting season!

Welcome to the Wildcat Family, Laura Erasmus!

Please join us in welcoming Laura Erasmus as our new Culinary Arts Teacher at River Road High School!

Laura studied Hospitality Level 4 at Centurion College in South Africa. Born and raised in South Africa, she and her family made the life-changing move to the United States three years ago. Laura and her husband, Xandrey, are proud parents to their three children—Xaney, Eric, and Brodin—and are grateful to now call the River Road community home.

Outside the classroom, Laura enjoys baking, music, and art. She loves expressing her creativity through resin art and painting, and nothing brings her more joy than making someone smile. She also enjoys dancing and is always eager to try new ideas and creative projects.

When asked what she's most looking forward to this school year, Laura shared:
"I'm excited to meet new people and students, inspire a passion for cooking and baking, and help students get excited about the opportunities that await them after graduation."

Fun Fact: Laura describes herself as spontaneous, creative, bubbly, and someone who loves helping others!

Welcome to the Wildcat Family, William Nies!

Let's give a warm welcome to William Nies, our new Theater Teacher at River Road High School!

William graduated from West Texas A&M University with a degree in Theatre Performance. He loves being creative and enjoys exploring different ways to express himself, both on stage and in everyday life.

When he's not teaching, William likes to draw, make animations, and play video games—especially single-player adventures. He also creates custom artwork and animations for others.

We asked William what he’s most excited about this school year. He said:"I'm excited to share the joy of creating theatre and the fun of performance with like-minded students."

Fun fact: William has never tried alcohol or smoked.

We’re happy to have William join River Road High School and can’t wait to see the creativity, energy, and passion for the arts he’ll share with our students. Welcome to the Wildcat family!
