River Road's incredibly talented theatre department is proud to present our amazing One Act Show to students and parents alike, this Thursday on March 26th!
Witness the real-life story of Edith Begbie, a contended housewife who wanders into a suffragette meeting, and thanks to the women she meets, discovers the importance of fighting for her rights. Beth's Flintoff's powerful script showcases the harsh lengths these women had to go through for self respect, and the sacrifices they made for a future they might not get to see.
Students can buy tickets in the commons for $3 during FLEX on the days leading up to the in-school performance on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Then later that day, our public performance will be for free from 6:00-7:00 p.m. with free entrance and free cupcakes to enjoy! Donations will also be available if you want to help contribute to future theatre productions.
We are incredibly excited to present this show to all of you. Our students did a fantastic job, and we hope you can take the time to come witness what we have in store!

I got to participate in the tradition today! Our Theatre Seniors got to add their handprints to the back wall today. I am as proud as I could possibly be over everything these kids have accomplished. Here’s to more and more handprints to come!

Well, we didn’t place, but that is okay. Of the hundreds of entries, Erendira’s made it to the top 12 in the entire state, and that is immensely impressive. Plus, we learned a lot, gained a lot of inspiration and are amped for next year’s competition with The King Stag.
Congratulations Erendira! We are proud of you. Thank you for reminding everyone that a Wildcat’s place is at State.
