River Road Theatre This page is dedicated to promoting and sharing pictures for the River Road High School Theatre. We welcome students, alum, parents, and theatre supporters

The purpose of the River Road HS Theatre page is to further the district's vision and mission, support student learning staff professional development, and enhance communication with students, parents, guardians, staff, and community members. Users are expected to use the site only for those purposes. River Road ISD maintains that by creating this official page, and allowing for public comment, this page is not intended to create a limited public forum or otherwise guarantee an individual's right to free speech. Any views and comments expressed by users on this site are those of the users and do not necessarily reflect the views of the school district. Any user's reference to a specific commercial product or service does not imply endorsement or recommendation of that product or service by the district. All site users are personally responsible for the content of their posts and the district is not responsible for the content of external online platforms. Users are expected to communicate in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner. This site is regularly monitored and any inappropriate posts will be promptly removed. Inappropriate posts include, but are not limited to, posts that are obscene, libelous, or so incites people as to create a clear and present danger of the commission of unlawful acts, violation of district policies, or substantial disruption of the district’s orderly operation. This may also pertain to posts that are not related to the stated purpose of the site, including, but not limited to, comments of a commercial nature, political activity, and comments that constitute discrimination or harassment. River Road's incredibly talented theatre department is proud to present our amazing One Act Show to students and parents alike, this Thursday on March 26th!

Witness the real-life story of Edith Begbie, a contended housewife who wanders into a suffragette meeting, and thanks to the women she meets, discovers the importance of fighting for her rights. Beth's Flintoff's powerful script showcases the harsh lengths these women had to go through for self respect, and the sacrifices they made for a future they might not get to see.

Students can buy tickets in the commons for $3 during FLEX on the days leading up to the in-school performance on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Then later that day, our public performance will be for free from 6:00-7:00 p.m. with free entrance and free cupcakes to enjoy! Donations will also be available if you want to help contribute to future theatre productions.

We are incredibly excited to present this show to all of you. Our students did a fantastic job, and we hope you can take the time to come witness what we have in store!
