Motivation is not whats going to get you to your goal I promise you that. Motivation is an emotion and emotions come and go. Discipline sticks. Discipline is doing something even when you don’t want to do it. Discipline achieves greatness.

First start and first AB in over a year after not playing in 2025. Sac fly RBI to advance all. The approach: hunt the heater up. Why? To drive something into the outfield in the air to maximize the odds of cashing in an RBI. No matter how much we train. The approach is still crucial.

In this day and age it doesn’t matter where you are at if you are good enough. They will find you if you are actually good enough. You don’t have to be at a $1000 showcase. Yall are watching older kids go down the exact same path over and over just to get a last chance opportunity for some college that doesn’t have a solid baseball program. When you get to college your success then depends a lot on your coaches. If they don’t have a program that can really develop you and contacts that trust them you might be heading right into a dead end. Set yourself up for success early. Develop the body and the talent so that by 17 multiple legitimate juco programs are interested in you. If that starts to happen then bigger schools will follow. Kids in other countries are using this game to fight for their lives and ours are too worried about being with friends to make instagram posts about what they did together.

Earned not Given. Bigger than any individual achievement is when your team around you votes you as the Most Valuable Player, the most valuable piece to the puzzle that season. That always says a lot. Especially in a winning program and probably means you were a good teammate. Only a sophomore. Big things coming. Stay humble and hungry
