Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Its been awhile since I have been on this page. The holidays are coming becareful traveling and be safe. What is everyone's favorite Christmas music to play? If I'm in town I plan on playing with you all again and directing.

Amarillo Youth Band is looking for some new faces to add to its personnel for the Spring 2013 semester. We welcome those who attend private public and home school in grades 4-12. All playing levels from beginner through advanced intermediate are welcome. Even if you're a newbie to the band world, this is a great place to network and play some really good concert music. We team up with Holy Cross Catholic Academy during football season and play with their pep band. In the spring, we look forward to participating in local competitions and give concerts for a variety of audiences. Not affiliated with any school or other organization, Amarillo Youth Band strives for excellence in all aspects of playing and performing. Students enrolled in the program advance quickly and are able to play more difficult levels of music by the end of their first year. Many of those currently attending private schools within the group often exceed their public school peers in Regional seating. Summed up, it's a junior wind ensemble with college-level expectations. Welcome Back everyone!! Little Matthew made his grand appearance on Friday, March 9th at 4:34PM. He's now out of the NICU and growing like a w**d at home.

Mrs. Grandmaison has made the official announcement that Amarillo Youth Band will resume it's rehearsals on Thursday, May 3rd at the Arp House. Time: 5:20-6:40 PM. Unfortunately, there will not be a spring concert this year but we will be rehearsing to play at holy Cross's graduation on Friday, June 1st.

We are currently on hiatus due to some personal changes with the director. We'll be back soon to make music. Stay tuned...

No band rehearsal on Valentine's Day this year. We will be moving our party plans to Thursday this week. The Holy Cross Catholic Academy Girls Varsity Basketball team made it to Region Finals and the school band has been asked to play at the game starting at 4pm.

Very pleased with and thankful for the talented young ladies and gentlemen participating in AYB this semester. We lost a few but gained a new perspective and attention to detail. Cora - you are awesome, keep up the good work!
