Amarillo Youth Band is looking for some new faces to add to its personnel for the Spring 2013 semester. We welcome those who attend private public and home school in grades 4-12. All playing levels from beginner through advanced intermediate are welcome. Even if you're a newbie to the band world, this is a great place to network and play some really good concert music. We team up with Holy Cross Catholic Academy during football season and play with their pep band. In the spring, we look forward to participating in local competitions and give concerts for a variety of audiences. Not affiliated with any school or other organization, Amarillo Youth Band strives for excellence in all aspects of playing and performing. Students enrolled in the program advance quickly and are able to play more difficult levels of music by the end of their first year. Many of those currently attending private schools within the group often exceed their public school peers in Regional seating. Summed up, it's a junior wind ensemble with college-level expectations.
