HOLD FAST

"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)
—Hebrews 10:23

When the road gets rough, don't loosen your grip on what God has spoken.

Feelings change. Circumstances shift. People disappoint us. But God remains faithful. Even when you cannot see what He is doing, you can trust who He is.

Hold fast to your faith.
Hold fast to His Word.
Hold fast through the waiting.
Hold fast when the enemy tells you to quit.

You may feel shaken, but you are not abandoned. The same God who carried you this far will remain faithful through every mile ahead.

DON'T LET GO-GOD ISN'T FINISHED YET.

Jesus never promised we wouldn’t face trouble.
He promised that trouble wouldn’t have the final word.

There will be seasons that feel heavy. Days when fear gets loud, answers don’t come quickly, and you’re not sure what happens next.

But Jesus says:

“Take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

Not “pretend it doesn’t hurt.”
Not “figure it all out.”
Not “be strong enough on your own.”

Take heart.

Because the One who is with you has already overcome what is against you.

Whatever you’re carrying today, remember: your peace isn’t found in having control. It’s found in knowing Who does.

Take heart. Keep trusting. Keep going. Jesus has overcome.

WHAT ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR?

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”— Matthew 5:6

We make room for what we hunger for.

When we hunger for God, we seek Him.
When we thirst for His presence, we draw near.
When we desire righteousness, we stop being satisfied with the things that pull us away from Him.

Jesus didn’t say blessed are those who have it all figured out.

He said blessed are those who hunger and thirst.

The ones who want more of God.
More of His presence.
More of His truth.
More of His ways.

And He gives us a promise:

They shall be filled.

Stay hungry for the things of God.
Don’t let the world satisfy an appetite that was created for Him.

THE STEP WASN’T THE DESTINATION

What benefit would it have been for Peter to step out of the boat… and just stand there?

Yes, stepping out activated his faith.
But Jesus didn’t just call Peter out of the boat.

He said, “Come.” — Matthew 14:29

Peter had to WALK.

He would never have discovered the extent of what his faith in Jesus could do if he had spent the whole time with one foot on the water and the other reaching back for the boat.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what we do.

We take the step God told us to take, but then we start searching for insecurity in it.

What if I heard Him wrong?
What if I fail?
What if I sink?

So we hesitate. We reach back toward what feels safe.

You may have activated your faith when you stepped out—but walking by faith means you keep moving toward Jesus.

The water was never going to feel as secure as the boat.

Your security was never supposed to be in what was under your feet.
It was supposed to be in the One who said, “Come.”

Don’t just step out.

WALK.

The enemy can counterfeit pleasure —but he cannot produce joy.

Scripture never describes Satan as possessing joy.

He tempts.
He accuses.
He deceives.
He destroys.

He can offer temporary pleasure and counterfeit excitement, but he cannot produce what only comes from the presence of God.

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace…” — Galatians 5:22

Maybe that’s why temporary pleasure so often leaves us wanting more.

Pleasure becomes a craving.
Craving can become addiction.
What feels like freedom becomes bo***ge. And what looked harmless can end in sorrow, pain, brokenness—and sometimes even prison.

Sin promises more than it can deliver and costs more than it tells you upfront.

But JOY is different.

Biblical joy is deeper than happiness because it isn’t dependent on our circumstances—it is rooted in who is with us in the middle of them.

You can hurt and still have joy.
Grieve and still have joy.
Walk through the fire and still have joy.
Because joy is fruit produced by the Spirit of God within us.And there’s a simple way to remember where our priorities belong:

J — Jesus first
O — Others second
Y — Yourself last

The world says chase yourself and your desires to find happiness.

Jesus says, “Follow Me.”

“In Your presence there is fullness of joy.” — Psalm 16:11

The enemy can give you something that feels good for a moment.
Jesus gives you something that can sustain you through anything.
Pleasures fades. Sin enslaves. But the joy of the Lord remains.

Stop chasing what can never satisfy you.

Run to the One who can. ♥️

Prayer was never meant to be something we reach for only when life falls apart.

It is communion with God.

We often think of prayer as bringing God our needs, our problems, and our requests—and we should. But prayer is so much more than asking God to change what is happening around us.

Prayer changes us.

The more time we spend in His presence, the more we learn His heart. The more we know His heart, the more we trust His character. And the more we trust His character, the more confidence we have when we pray.

That is why Scripture tells us to “pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Not because we are supposed to spend every moment with our heads bowed and our eyes closed, but because prayer is meant to become the posture of a life lived in constant communion with God.

Don’t wait for the crisis to start the conversation.

Know Him in the ordinary, and you will know where to run in the extraordinary.

What if the trial isn’t the obstacle… but the classroom?

We often pray, “Lord, take this away.”

Sometimes He does.

But sometimes He stays with us in the middle of it because He’s doing a deeper work than we can see.

God isn’t just interested in changing our circumstances—He’s interested in changing us.

Every trial is an opportunity to trust Him more, depend on Him more, and become more like Jesus.

The hardship may not leave overnight, but if it draws you closer to Christ, it is accomplishing something eternal.

“Count it all joy… knowing that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2–3

May we seek His presence more than His rescue, knowing that the One who is shaping us will also sustain us.

🌿 Pruned for a Purpose 🌿

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. Every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” — John 15:1–2

Peter denied Jesus around a fire. Broken and ashamed, he went back to fishing—back to what he knew.

But Jesus met him there.

Standing on the shore with breakfast waiting, Jesus didn’t meet Peter after he had everything figured out. He met him right where he was.

Sometimes God brings us back to the place that broke us—not to condemn us, but to restore us. The fire that once reminded Peter of his failure became the place where grace rewrote his story.

Jesus had already told Peter:

“I have prayed for you… and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” — Luke 22:32

He didn’t say if you return. He said when.

If you’re walking through a season of pruning, don’t mistake it for rejection. The Gardener prunes what He intends to grow.

And the same Jesus who met Peter on the shoreline will meet you right where you are.

Nothing Can Separate You

Some of you needed this reminder today.

Not your past.
Not your failures.
Not your fears.
Not your doubts.
Not the battle you’re facing right now.

If you belong to Christ, His love isn’t based on your performance—it’s rooted in His unchanging character.

The enemy wants you to believe you’ve gone too far or that God has somehow walked away. But His Word says otherwise.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38–39

Whatever you’re carrying today, don’t carry it alone. Run to the One whose love never lets go.

Nothing can separate you from the love of God.

Our God Is a Consuming Fire🔥

Throughout Scripture, God often reveals Himself through fire—not to destroy, but to purify, refine, and transform.

His presence has a way of burning away pride, fear, complacency, and anything that keeps us from walking fully with Him. He doesn’t simply call us to feel something for a moment; He calls us to become more like Christ.

The evidence of an encounter with God isn’t merely what we felt in the moment, but who we become afterwards.

May we never seek only an emotional experience, but a life continually transformed by His presence.

“For our God is a consuming fire.” — Hebrews 12:29
