Last week, this year's Yearbook Staff attended training with Balfour, our yearbook publisher. The staff learned how to use the online platform for designing the book and participated in theme brainstorming activities. They even stopped to refuel on their way back to school. You could say they got the creative juices flowing in more ways than one! We have two returning yearbook veterans and four new staff members, so it's going to be a fantastic year!

Learning took flight for our Dual Credit Aircraft Maintenance Technology students!

Jim Shelton recently invited the class to tour his corporate jet management facility, where he oversees a fleet of 22 Cessna Citation CJ-series aircraft. Students explored the maintenance facility, observed a CJ3 undergoing a progressive inspection of its flight-control system, and visited the departure hangar, where three aircraft were being prepared for upcoming flights.

The experience gave students an up-close look at aircraft operations and maintenance, and the opportunity to tour an aircraft’s interior and ask an industry professional questions.

Thank you to Mr. Shelton for providing this valuable, hands-on learning experience!

And last—but certainly not least—we’re wrapping up our returning staff introductions with our Advancement Team and school leadership! ❤️ These familiar faces keep plenty of plates spinning and our school moving forward!

🎤 Cassie Montgomery returns as our Assistant Head of School and Development Director, while also overseeing Montessori Preschool enrollment and assisting with Speech & Debate. A few hats? She’s got a whole collection!

📸 Sarah Silva is back as our Director of Marketing & Communications and Yearbook teacher—sharing our school’s story while helping students capture a year’s worth of memories!

📝 Katy Reid returns as our Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, helping welcome new families and guide them through their journey to becoming part of our school community.

🎓 Tim Oditt is back as our Head of School, leading the charge and keeping this talented team—and our school—moving forward!

🏛️ Jennifer Oditt continues as our Assistant Dean of Academics while teaching all levels of Latin and Latin Literature. From academic guidance to optime factum! Mrs. Oditt keeps our students learning and growing!

➗ Elisa Johnson returns as our Dean of Academics, teaching Algebra I Pre-AP, Algebra II Pre-AP, and Advanced Algebra. Whether she’s leading academics or solving for x, Mrs. Johnson keeps excellence at the top of the equation!

More familiar faces—and a few more hats being worn! 🎩

📐 Paul Montgomery steps into a new role this year as our Dean of Students, while continuing to teach 7th Grade Math and 7th & 8th Grade Pre-Algebra. From solving for x to helping students navigate the school day, Mr. Montgomery is ready for the challenge!

🏃 David Sanders returns as our Athletic Director and History Department Chair, teaching 7th Grade American History, U.S. History I, and AP/Dual Credit U.S. History II. He also coaches Cross-Country and Track—keeping our students moving forward, whether through history or toward the finish line!

We’re excited to have these two continuing to lead, teach, and make a difference! ❤️

Two more familiar faces we’re very glad to have back in our front office this school year! ❤️

🩺 Judy Merker returns as our school nurse, caring for everything from bumps and bruises to those mysterious mid-day stomachaches. 😉 We’re grateful to have her keeping our students healthy and cared for!

📋 Anita Herrmann continues as our Administrative Assistant, helping keep the many moving pieces of the school day organized and on track. We’re thankful for all she does to keep things running smoothly!
