SUMMER LEAGUE BOUND. 🏀🔥

Congratulations to Amarillo High alum Brendan Hausen on earning a spot with the Memphis Grizzlies for NBA Summer League.

The former Iowa Hawkeye knocked down 200 career three-pointers while shooting 38.3% from beyond the arc in college and clearly made an impression during his pre-draft workout.👏🏻💪🏻

It is time for the Class of 2027 to schedule and take their senior portraits! These portraits are used for the yearbook, scholarship applications and awards presentations. The sitting and photo is free and you can choose to order the one you like. Make sure you get this taken by August 18!

Speech students are beginning their summer by competing in the National Speech Tournament. This year, Hayden Brillhart is participating in Senate for the fourth time, Hannah Brillhart is competing in House, Finn Archer and Samera Kassa in Public Forum Debate, and Ariel Elizondo in Informative Speaking. Hayden has advanced to the semi-finals.

Melissa Ramirez, our Mrs. Bairds Teacher on the Rise winner this year at the annual end of year celebration.

As the school year comes to a close, we celebrate the Sandie teachers who are retiring. Happy retirement to Oscar Velaquez, Nancy Prather, Veronica Sloss, Starla Kelly, Theresa Miller, and Cheryl Martinez!
