As a freelance musician, I wear many hats and work multiple jobs! Hereโs some snippets from the week as a cello sectional coach at some AISD schools. Itโs never a dull moment! I get to meet amazing students and help them play the cello!

Now that Iโm back in the States (always wanted to say that ๐), I wanted to let everyone know that I will be teaching cello at Amarillo College Suzuki Program! I am excited to get started and inspired by my recent trip to Costa Rica to keep sharing music in my community! I am honored to see my name and bio listed in the Suzuki Program faculty! This is going to be a great year! ๐ถ๐คฉ๐๐ฆก

Great job to all of the groups that performed today with the Amarillo Symphony Youth Orchestra! This concert was special, not only because of our special guests, Midori and Clara (who were absolutely amazing), but also because of seeing so many familiar faces in the different ensembles. The time Iโve spent in the Amarillo schools this year has given me the opportunity to get to know and work with so many incredible kids. Iโm grateful and immensely proud of all of them!

Itโs so encouraging to see growth in my cello studio! Iโm not ready for the semester to end, but when it does, Iโll have even more openings for lessons. So grateful to be able to connect with cello students in my community, and so grateful that I get to do this for a living! ๐ค๐ถ๐ป

I had a great opportunity to play with Hillside Christian Church this morning for their chapel service! As a musician during the pandemic, Iโm grateful to play live as often as I can!

Iโm a quiet person, so sometimes itโs hard to put myself out there, but itโs time! For those who donโt know me well, Iโve been playing cello off and on for about 20 years, but only started taking private lessons in 2018! This experience of going back to school has changed my life and made me realize how important it is to have a mentor when it comes to playing the cello. This realization led to a desire to pass on that knowledge to other aspiring cellists! My goal is to build a cello studio, a group of people learning the cello that help each other grow and form common bonds! In times like these, making music is important now more than ever! Please message me to help with teaching or creating together!
