Great things are happening in Alvin ISD!

At tonight’s Board meeting, newly elected trustees Fernando Hinojosa and Gabe Garza were officially sworn into office following the May election. The Board also thanked Earl Humbird as he stepped down from 21 years of service to the Alvin ISD School Board!

In addition, the Board also elected its officers for the 2026–27 school year.

The Board elected the following officers:

President - AJ Johnson
Vice President - Danielle Swiney
Secretary - Cory Scott

We appreciate the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees for their ongoing leadership and commitment to serving our students, staff, and community.

With more than 25 years of experience in Texas public education, Dr. Mason is recognized for her commitment to student success, strong instructional leadership, and building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
