At this evening’s Board of Trustees meeting, trustees approved the appointments of Dr. Kwabena Mensah as Deputy Superintendent of Academics and Kimberly Simpson as Chief of Staff.

Dr. Mensah and Ms. Simpson bring a wealth of experience, leadership, and dedication to student success. We are excited to welcome them to the Alvin ISD family and look forward to the positive impact they will make for our students, staff, and community.

At this evening’s Board of Trustees meeting, trustees approved the appointments of Matt Day as Assistant Principal of Rodeo Palms Junior High, Rebecca Jasinski as Assistant Principal of Nolan Ryan Junior High, Skyler Sikes as Assistant Principal of Nolan Ryan Junior High, and Dr. Dwayne Edwards as Assistant Principal of Iowa Colony Junior High.

Please join us in congratulating these outstanding leaders on their new roles and wishing them continued success as they serve our students, staff, and families!

Superintendent Dr. Rhonda Mason recently met with City of Manvel leadership to discuss shared priorities and opportunities to strengthen collaboration in support of students, families, and the community.

We appreciate our partnership with the City of Manvel and look forward to working together to serve those who call Manvel home.

If you need assistance registering your child for the 2026-2027 school year, come to our Community Enrollment Night from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday at the Lewis Lane Center!

Congratulations to our very own Board President AJ Johnson on successfully completing the TASB Leadership program!

Congratulations to the members of the Leadership TASB Class of 2026!

The class celebrated the completion of its year-long program with a graduation ceremony held Friday night in conjunction with TASB SLI Fort Worth. All 32 members successfully completed the program, earning the title of Master Trustee.

Today, Alvin ISD commemorates Juneteenth, a day recognizing freedom and an important moment in American history.
