Our 2nd Graders had a Boogie-tastic time coming together for a special read-aloud with Mrs. Buford, our very own AISD Texas Reading Academies Cohort Trainer!! 🦉📖
Today's book, “I Am A Boogie…Treat Me With Respect,” introduced students to Boogie, a friendly bo**er with a very important job…helping defend our bodies to keep us healthy! Along the way, students learned some simple but important hygiene habits: using a tissue, washing their hands, tossing used tissues in the trash, and never sharing germs.
We had plenty of giggles, but our 2nd graders left with some pretty important lessons about taking care of themselves and staying healthy! Thank you so much Mrs Buford!! You are always welcome at Nelson!

Things are crashing in 5th
Grade Science! 🚒💥🚗
Our 5th Grade Owls put their knowledge to the test with a Crashing Cars Lab, exploring forces, motion, and what happens when cars collide! They're also learning how to collaborate, listen to different ideas, make predictions, and analyze their results like true scientists.
Science is better when you learn it together!! 📝🔬🙌🏻
