Who fired the first shots at Lexington and Concord? Nobody knows for sure, but we’ll blame the Redcoats! 😉

AMS students brought the opening battles of the American Revolution to life with a fabulous performance! Great job to these students and their Social Studies teacher, Sasha Kirkpatrick, for making history engaging and fun!

Alva Middle School Student Council recently attended the District 11 meeting hosted by Alva High School Student Council on the campus of Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

During the meeting, our students collaborated with student council members from other schools to strengthen their leadership skills, explore ways to encourage school spirit, and develop teamwork and communication skills. They returned with new ideas and inspiration to bring back to AMS as they continue working to make a positive impact on our school and community.

We are proud of our AMS Student Council members for taking advantage of opportunities to grow as leaders and represent our school. Thank you to AHS Student Council for organizing and hosting a great event!

Thank you to everyone who participated in WALK TO SCHOOL DAY!!! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🎉

It was a huge success, and we had such a great time! We would like to give a special thank you to the Alva Fire Department (AFD) for helping our students walk safely to school. We also want to thank the Middle School Band for providing some awesome music to welcome everyone! Thank you to the NWOSU softball team for assisting the students on this walk.

A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Whittet for organizing this wonderful event and helping make it such a success!

And, of course, thank you to all of our parents for bringing your students in early and allowing them to participate in this fun event. We appreciate your support and love seeing our school community come together!
