📢📢 If you have been wondering what Upward Bound is all about, then head on over to the Woods County Fair and stop by the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Booth! We will be there from 3-7 to share all of the YEAR-ROUND FREEsources, services, and educational enrichment activities EXCLUSIVELY for high school students in our program: ACT prep, Financial Literacy, SCHOLARSHIPS/FAFSA/OKLAHOMAS PROMISE, College Campus Tours, Summer Camp, and SO MUCH MORE!

We currently have openings and are accepting applications! The best part? There is no deadline to apply!

NWOSU Upward Bound is here to help students take the next step! Our students receive additional benefits including academic support, mentoring, college and career exploration, college visits, educational experiences, and so much more! We offer services throughout the school year AND during summer!

Eligibility Requiremtns:
• Student is in high school (grade 9, 10, 11, or 12) •Enrolled in one of the following service schools (Home School Included): Alva, Aline-Cleo, Burlington, Cherokee, Cimarron, Fairview, Freedom, Ringwood, Timberlake, or Waynoka
• Meet federal income guidelines / Is a potential first-generation college student (This means neither of your parents have graduated from a 4-year College Institution)
• Meet U.S. citizenship or eligible residency requirements

The best part? Upward Bound is completely FREE! No GPA requirement. No wait list. All meals, resources, supplies, educational enrichment trips, extracurricular activities, and travel expenses are completely free! You have NOTHING to lose, ONLY GAINS!

UB/UBMS students! Camp registration opens April 19, 2026 to May 2, 2026-- register early!!
If you are not a current student of our program, please submit a new student application online with all of your information and our staff will be in touch!! Note: our staff is out of office until Friday, April 24, 2026.
