As our world experiences difficult economic times, I would like to bring awareness to a program in your community for single parents (or families) that may be experiencing inadequate financial/support, food shortages, needing child care assistance or just in need of career training that could lead to sustainable employment opportunities and/or career advancement.
The H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Employment) Program, or Project HOPE, at Northwest Technology Center - Alva & Fairview, and High Plains Technology Center - Woodward is here to offer an exciting opportunity for a positive and productive life change!
Project HOPE is a comprehensive work preparation program that partners with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to give individuals who receive TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) assistance. Participants build personalized pathways to success with their instructor and along the way will learn or build on areas including:
Life Development Skills
Financial Literacy
Employability Skills
Job Placement/Retention
Career Advancement
GED Prep
Vocational Technical Training
Project HOPE extends the opportunity for individuals to enroll in full-time, short-term, niche training or individualized skills training. At the end of the pathway, final assistance will be given to complete any remaining goals (employment search, relocation resources, etc.)
