Focus – Increase concentration and attention. Teamwork – Teaches our students to cooperate with others to achieve a common goal while building character and friendships. Control – Students get to make good decisions while building self-confidence. Speed, Agility and Balance – Gives our students better body awareness and improves Plyometrics, core strength and fitness. Memory- Our curriculum helps students to think and make smart decisions. Coordination – We teach our students to use their legs and arm efficiently, the better coordination your child develops, the less they will be to sustain injuries. Kihido Marital Arts incorporate a mixture of martial arts including Karate, Jit Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, Taekwondo, Kempo, Judo and Krav Maga. These systems give students a realistic system for personal protection in the modern world.

🥋🔥 STRIPE TESTING — DICE GAME STYLE! 🎲🪙

Today Sensei Krista switched things up and gave the Ninjas a fun test using the Dice Game & Heads or Tails!

🎲 Roll the dice — whatever number it lands on determines how many techniques they have to perform!

🪙 Flip the coin — Heads means start at the TOP of the technique list, and Tails means start at the BOTTOM!

But knowing the techniques wasn’t enough! Our Ninjas also had to show Sensei they were READY by bringing the energy and letting those KIAIs be heard! 🥋💥

Not knowing what technique was coming next — just focus, confidence, technique, and READY STANCE!

The karate kids also did an excellent job performing all 5 of their 360 Boxing Combos to earn their stripes! 🥊🔥

Our Karate Kids were putting in the work on their 360 Krav Maga Boxing Combos 1–5, building strong fundamentals, coordination, and confidence! 👊💥

Our Big Ninjas stayed focused on #1 Stiff Arm 3 and sharpening up their Traditional Shotokan Katas as they prepare for Stripe Testing this Thursday! 🥋💪

🥋 BIG CHANGES AT KIHIDO MARTIAL ARTS! 🥋

Throughout this year, Kihido Martial Arts has continued to grow, evolve, and make changes that best support the future of our school.

As of today, it is OFFICIAL — Kihido Martial Arts is now a kids-focused martial arts school! ❤️🥋

Our regular programs will be dedicated exclusively to children and teens, giving our Ninjas a positive environment where they can build confidence, discipline, respect, focus, and real martial arts skills.

Adults: We will no longer offer regular adult group classes. Adult training will now be available through private lessons only. For the safety, comfort, and privacy of our kids and their families, adults will not be permitted to enter or participate in kids’ classes.

I’m excited about this next chapter and where we are headed. Thank you to everyone who continues to support Kihido Martial Arts and our mission of helping the next generation grow stronger — both on and off the mats!

🥋 THROWBACK — 30 YEARS BACK IN TIME! 🥋

Before she was Sensei Krista, she was once a young student stepping onto the mats with a dream: to learn Karate, become a martial artist, and one day have a school of her own. ❤️🥋

Martial arts in the ’80s and ’90s looked a whole lot different than it does today in 2026! Training was tough, expectations were high, and every class taught discipline, respect, perseverance, and the importance of earning your way through the ranks.

Fast-forward 30+ years, and that young student’s dream became a reality. 💪🔥

Today, Sensei Krista gets to pass those same values on to the next generation at Kihido Martial Arts. The techniques may continue to evolve and the times may change, but the foundation remains the same:

We LOVE seeing new faces walk through our doors and give martial arts a try! Whether it’s Jiu Jitsu or Karate, there’s a place on the mats for everyone. 💪

We also understand that every school isn’t the perfect fit for every person—and that’s okay! At Kihido Martial Arts, we encourage families to come experience our classes, meet our martial arts family, and see what makes our training different.

Bullying is real, and unfortunately, bullies don’t always care about your feelings. That’s why at Kihido Martial Arts, we believe children should learn more than just how to throw a punch or kick — they should learn how to recognize danger, stay confident, set boundaries, avoid conflict, and protect themselves when necessary.

We’re seeing the challenges our kids face every day, including in our public school systems. Our goal is to give our Ninjas the tools they need to handle difficult situations with confidence, discipline, awareness, and self-control.

Kids Jiu Jitsu Wednesday and Friday

At Kihido Martial Arts, we don’t teach kids to look for fights — we teach them how to avoid trouble, stand up for themselves, and be prepared to protect themselves when there is no other option.
