We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! ☀️🌴

In honor of summertime, we wanted to share some photos from our PEOPEL PE Summer Tourist Relay with our buddies. These activities are always a great way to build connections, create memories, and have fun together! 🐏

We are also excited to announce that Southeast Polk Middle School will be starting a Best Buddies program! Best Buddies fosters meaningful one-to-one friendships that help combat isolation during critical emotional development years while promoting inclusion, acceptance, and belonging for all students.

We can't wait to see the positive impact this program will have on our school community. 🖤💛

About 90 of our middle school students earned a trip to the zoo by having perfect attendance during 1st or 2nd semester! 🦛🦘🦁🐒🐯

Increasing attendance is one of our district goals, and these students showed commitment, responsibility, and dedication by showing up every single day. We are proud of their hard work and know that sometimes learning - and attendance - should be celebrated with a little fun too! 😎
