A great turnout for the Lady Lions' Youth Soccer Night last night. Kids attending got to meet the Lady Lion Soccer team, enjoyed face painting and temporary tattoos, played halftime games and went home with a goodie bag!

Last night AASD Administration recognized Val Mignogna, Chris Cook and Stephanie McGinnis for reaching their 5-year milestone of service to the AASD School Board. Each year PSBA's Honor Roll of School Board Service proudly recognizes school board members for their 5-year milestones and their dedicated service to their districts, communities and public education.

Thank you to the all our AASD school board members who willing choose to serve their communities and our students.

October is Fire Safety Prevention Month! 🚒🔥

A huge thank you to Logan Township United Fire Chief Rusty Shoenfelt, City of Altoona Deputy Fire Chief Mike Hawksworth, and their incredible team of firefighters for bringing this life-saving message to all AASD Elementary schools throughout the month! 🧑‍🚒👏

Our students have the opportunity to learn firsthand inside the Fire Safety trailer and hear directly from our local firefighters about the specialized equipment used on fire trucks to handle fires and other emergencies.

The fire safety message is one worth repeating, and our students at Penn Lincoln Elementary were fantastic listeners today! 🌟🚒
