📚 Learning Never Stops at MES!
On Monday, September 14, MES teachers participated in their first Mini Professional Development session of the school year with Jen Herncane, IU8 Literacy Specialist. The short, focused session centered on syllable types and how a strong understanding of syllable patterns can help students become more accurate and confident readers.
Throughout the year, Mini-PD sessions will continue to be offered as needs arise, giving teachers opportunities to learn, collaborate, and immediately apply new strategies in their classrooms.
A huge thank you to Jen and IU8 for continuing to partner with our staff!

This summer we hosted classes for 24 teens interested in aviation. Students spent a week studying weather, airspace laws and other content. They also practiced flying drones.

Many have passed their FAA Exam and have been given a drone to use in their community.

We're so proud of them and appreciative to the Grable Foundation for funding!
