Just checking in...Gosh, I am so sorry that it has been such a long time since I last posted here...I had sincerely hoped to have a regular "info / sharing / feed" up and running. However, during the last few months, I have been focused on trying to find Classmates through other social media sources. That being said, I will be leaving my post as Administrator of this page, as well as all of the other tasks that I had initially taken on. I will certainly inform you if this page will continue for you (or cease), to be a valuable information source for the upcoming Reunion. When and/or if this page changes hands, you will be the first to know. Wishing all of you a great AAHS 40th Class Reunion in August.

Dear Alumni:
Happy Holidays
As 2014 quickly approaches we want to take this opportunity to wish all of our AAHS Alumni and friends Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays. In 2013 many of our alumni have taken the opportunity to rekindle friendships and make new ones by attending one of the ten class reunions held this past summer and fall; attending Alumni Band 2013; or traveling to New York City on our annual excursion. We've enjoyed seeing all of you!

As an Association we were able to provide support and assistance to Altoona Area students through the following ways:

A $1000 scholarship was awarded to ten graduates of the Class of 2013 for a total of $10,000!
A $500 contribution was made to the Student Assistance Intervention Team's (SAIT) annual Christmas outreach supporting AASD families.
AASD Foundation Teacher Grant Partner - supporting AASD teachers and students through the Teacher Grant and Educator-in-Residence Grant programs.

We also pause for a moment to remember those Alumni who are no longer with us and extend heartfelt sympathies to friends and family left behind.


May you and your family have a very blessed Happy New Year.
