We would like to send a Big Thank You to the PennAEYC Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children and PA State Rep Andrea Verobish for visiting us here at Kids First last week. We had discussions about our childcare program and the challenges that providers can face, and PA State Rep. Andrea Verobish stopped in and read to one of our Pre-K Counts classrooms 😃
PA State Rep. Andrea Verobish stated that "The visit was especially meaningful for me because it wasn’t my first time at Kids First — my daughters attended there as infants and toddlers, and my mom still works there today. It was great to reconnect with a place that has meant so much to my family and our community."

Thank you to PennAEYC Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children for setting up a wonderful tour of Kids First Child Development Centers. We had a great discussion about child care programs and the challenges providers face, and I also had the opportunity to read to the Pre-K Counts students.

🦋 A Magical Learning Experience!🦋Over the past few weeks, the children have had the amazing opportunity to observe the transformation and life cycle of our caterpillars into butterflies. From tiny caterpillars to chrysalides, the children watched with curiosity and excitement as they grew and changed each day.
This hands‑on experience helped the children learn about patience, responsibility, and the wonders of nature. They loved checking on the caterpillars, asking questions, and noticing each small change along the way. Yesterday was a very special moment as the children proudly released the butterflies into the outdoors. The children were so excited to watch them spread their wings and fly away.
What a beautiful way to bring science to life and create lasting memories!

🌟 Yesterday, our PreK Counts class was honored to be a part of Child Abuse Awareness Month outside the Blair County Courthouse. 💙 Our children proudly participated in the event and brought smiles to everyone’s faces as they lead the Pledge of Allegiance and sang a song. We are so proud of our little learners and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful and important cause. 💙🧸

🌟Hooray! We're celebrating the 100th Day! 100 days of learning & growing together here at Kids First🌟 Ready for the next 100 days with many more adventures, laughter and memories ahead!

❄️ Due to the current weather conditions, Kids First Child Development Center will have a delayed opening on Monday, 1/26 and will open at 8:00am
This will permit additional time for roads to be cleared for our families and staff as well as ensure a daylight commute to the center.

⭐️Our PreK Counts program will have a Flexible Instruction Day (FID) on Monday, January 26th Instructions for completing classwork at home was placed in the cubby of each PreK Counts child so that it could be taken home. Completed work should be returned to your classroom teacher in order to receive attendance credit for the FID day.
⭐️PreK Counts children that have a contract for wraparound childcare can attend Monday for childcare if Monday is one of your contracted days.
⭐️Childcare for all other classrooms will operate as normal within our regular business hours.
