A teacher going on leave shouldn't mean learning comes to a stop.

Whether you're navigating a maternity leave, a retirement, or an unexpected vacancy, WOL provides live, virtual long-term substitute support to help students stay on track.

Students remain in their classroom, on their regular bell schedule, learning from a certified teacher in World Languages, Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies.

Because continuity matters—for students, teachers, and districts.

🌍 One course. Eight languages. Endless possibilities.

Our Exploratory World Languages course gives students the chance to experience 8 different languages and cultures before choosing one to study more deeply.

Rather than focusing on proficiency, students build curiosity, explore cultures, and discover which language speaks to them.

It's the perfect way to help students make an informed choice—and expand your district's world language offerings.

Myth #7: Online learning is all about technology.

Technology is the tool—not the goal.

What matters most is creating authentic, engaging learning experiences that connect students with real teachers, real feedback, and real relationships.

At its best, virtual learning isn't about screens.

It's about people.

Myth #6: Apps and self-paced tools are the same as instruction.

They're not.

Language apps can be great for practicing vocabulary or reviewing concepts. But learning a language is about much more than memorizing words.

Language is cultural. Contextual. Human.

Students need someone who can listen, ask questions, provide feedback, and help them understand not just what to say, but why it's said that way.

That kind of learning happens through conversation, connection, and guidance from a real teacher.

At World of Learning, every language course is taught live by a certified teacher who brings language and culture to life—because meaningful communication is something you practice with people, not just an app.

What if professional learning felt less like checking a box... and more like an adventure?

This summer, our leadership team reimagined professional development through Camp WOL—an experience designed to move beyond traditional, one-size-fits-all workshops and give teachers ownership of their own learning.

Our 7–12 Social Studies Virtual Learning Facilitator, Zach Marcic, helped bring that vision to life. A special thank you to Zach for helping design an experience that inspired our teachers and prepared them for the coming school year.

What does live, virtual learning really look like?

It looks like students in their classroom, actively participating with a real teacher—asking questions, practicing together, and building skills in real time.

This isn't watching videos or working through software. It's authentic instruction, meaningful interaction, and real learning—all from a classroom in your building.
