Looking for care for a little one?
Want the convenience of a center but the familiarity of a home daycare?

The Village is a small, mixed-age infant and toddler classroom with just 8 children. Our Wildflowers Preschool classroom typically has 14–16 children, giving both programs a smaller feel than you’ll find in many centers.

We have an opening in The Village beginning in September for a child around 1½–2½ years old.

Have a toddler and a preschooler? We have space for both!

We’ll also have additional openings coming up as children in our Infant & Toddler Loop age up into the next stage of our program. These openings begin as early as February 2027, with others becoming available through the spring and summer.

The Village has been very into bugs recently! One of the kids favorite activities is to find a speck of dirt on the floor, shout "Bug!!" to alert all our friends to come look, then lay on the floor together staring at it hoping it moves😂

So, we got out our sensory bins and went on a bug hunt! We strengthened our hands using tweezers to move the grass (yarn) out of the way to uncover all the different types of bugs. We also sang a lot of bug songs! Some hits include: the ants go marching in, the itsy bitsy spider, and everyone's favorite: the millipede march by Danny Go!

What is a unit study and why do we think it’s a great way to learn:

A unit study takes a subject that the children have shown interest in and lets them look at it in more depth. We look at the subject from different angles and change our approach based on the children’s questions, observations, and interactions.

Our fall exploration unit is an example of this. In late October, we have a Family Gathering at Auburn Homestead, a local pumpkin patch. To prepare for the visit we start reading books on fall and discussing pumpkins up to a month before, but the details of what we do looks a little different every year.

Follow us over the next week as we share how a unit exploration grows from children’s curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

Our program features a looping model, meaning the kids are together from birth to age 3 with the same caregivers! We prioritize fostering deep relationships, consistent and quality care, and a small group size of only 8 children.

The ants have gone marching right into our next unit exploration for our Wildflowers!

The children have been watching them since they emerged in the early spring. Their questions along with some interesting assumptions let us know we needed to help them dig deeper into the topic.

We have an opening for a 2-year-old!

One of our families has the amazing opportunity to stay home with their child, which means we have a rare space in our infant/toddler loop (together from birth to three years).

Since the majority of our children in the loop are two, we are looking for a child between 1.5 and 2.5 years. Your child would have consistent care and a small group size of 8 children (there are usually 14 two-year-olds in traditional centers).
