Growing up as a baton twirling athlete, Harry Brown's Camp for Champs was a memorable part of each and every summer.
Harry Brown, a former baton twirling athlete, coach, and judge passed away in August of 2012. In his memory, we have reinstated the concept of twirlers from all over the country coming together to enjoy and learn more about the sport of baton twirling. For some attendees, this will be strictly a conditioning camp as they prepare for the National Baton Twirling Championship to be held in July. For

We’ll round out the camp staff intros with Jon + PJ Burkin! PJ began Camp Pinnacle in 2014 and Jon has been along for the ride ever since. These two former Big Ten Feature Twirlers (Go Terps and Nittany Lions!!!) are passionate about helping other baton twirlers achieve their dreams. A former World Champion and a Miss Majorette of America living under one roof gets entertaining at times as they both have strong opinions about everything from choreography to costume color there’s NEVER a dull moment in the Burkin House. When they aren’t coaching, both Jon and PJ work for Marathon Petroleum and have the privilege of being parents to Ava (7) and Bailey (4). Their passion for the sport and creating a space for hard work to bring dreams to reality runs deep. You can be sure they have carefully selected the TCP 25 staff to give athletes an unparalleled camp experience. Buckle up! Camp is almost here!!Â

Please welcome Miss Pam from Pennsylvania to TCP! Miss Pam brings an incredible legacy of leadership, excellence, and heart to our staff. As the head coach of a nationally and world recognized competitive baton twirling team, she has coached athletes to National Championship titles in individual, duet, and team events, while developing multiple national grand champions and overall winners along the way! Her favorite things to teach are cleaning routines, nationals prep, and modeling, and we know campers will benefit so much from her experience! We are so honored to have Miss Pam on staff this summer and can’t wait for campers to learn from such an accomplished and inspiring coach!

Please welcome Terri Young from Pennsylvania to TCP! Terri brings loads of experience, leadership, and passion for baton twirling to our staff. She is the director of the Miss Majorette of America pageant at AYOP, former feature twirler at Slippery Rock, and former College Miss Majorette of America. Terri loves to teach x-strut and modeling, and we know campers will gain so much from her knowledge! We are so excited to have Terri on staff this summer and can’t wait for campers to learn from such a talented and inspiring leader!

Joining us from Ohio, let’s give a warm welcome to Sarah Lewis! Sarah brings an incredible level of experience and achievement to our staff. She is a 2x Team USA member, has earned over 35 USTA National Titles, was a collegiate finalist at Nationals, and is the 2025 Ohio State Strut Grand Champion. Sarah loves to teach contact, dance twirl, solo, and strut, and campers can look forward to learning from her creativity and passion for helping twirlers grow. We are beyond excited to have Sarah on staff with us this summer!
