Our Launch School students had the opportunity to visit Greaser Consulting, and it opened their eyes to a part of the business world that is not often visible in our region.
Software and SaaS companies are relatively rare in Central Pennsylvania, which made this experience especially valuable. Students were introduced to how companies like Google and SAP operate at scale, and how firms like Greaser Consulting come alongside them to drive growth.
Greaser Consulting helps software companies generate more revenue by creating strategic content and optimizing how they engage with customers across their platforms. Students learned that growth in the software world is not just about building a great product. It requires clear messaging, strong customer journeys, and intentional systems that guide people from interest to action.
This visit gave students a broader understanding of the digital economy and introduced them to career paths that extend far beyond what they typically see. Experiences like this continue to expand their vision for what is possible. ๐ฏ
A big thanks to the Greaser Consulting crew! You guys are awesome. Our students loved hearing your stories and God testimonies!! ๐
You have a great leadership and company environment...it's no wonder your team is growing! ๐ ๐

Over the course of the year, Arrows โLaunch Schoolโ students create their own businesses, taking ideas from concept to reality.
Recently, some of our students participated in a local business fair where they showcased their products to the community.
In preparation for the fair, students learned how to clarify their ideas into strong value propositions, develop simple business plans, price their products, and communicate their message with confidence. They worked through real challenges, adjusting designs, managing costs, and thinking carefully about what customers actually want.
At the fair, the learning continued. Students interacted directly with customers, practiced sales conversations, responded to feedback in real time, and experienced both success and rejection. They began to understand what draws attention, what builds trust, and what leads someone to make a purchase.
Moments like these are formative. Students are not just learning about business. They are stepping into it. ๐ฏ
A big thanks to our friends at Kings Academy for hosting the fair. Great job!

Our Launch School students recently had the opportunity to step inside a true industry leader, New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., and it was an experience they wonโt soon forget.
A big thanks to Steve Glenny, Frank Flamini, and Robert Horner for hosting us! โค๏ธ
We began at their headquarters in Roaring Spring, where students learned how NESL operates as a multi-generational, family-owned company serving the region since 1924. Not only does NESL provide construction materials for the many infrastructure items we use every day (roads, bridges, etc), but they also provide the infield mix for baseball diamonds across America...as well as sand for some of the top golf courses.
Then came the highlight: descending into the quarry itself.
Driving our school vans down into the bottom of the quarry was unforgettable. Standing among massive equipment and towering rock walls gave students a tangible sense of scale, and a deeper appreciation for the precision, planning, and hard work required to extract and process the materials that quite literally build our communities.
Experiences like this are what bring learning to life.
Grateful for the team at NESL for their generosity, hospitality, and willingness to invest in the next generation. ๐ฏ

A highlight this year for the Arrows Launch School students was visiting Shoe Fly Stores for an 'Industry Exploration Day'.
President & CEO, Todd Lewis, came to the school and shared his business origin story with our students. Wow! It's so fun to hear the founding story of a business that has continued to grow and expand.
We are so grateful Todd took the time to share his story and answer questions from our students.
We then headed over to the Shoe Fly store in Altoona. Have you seen their renovation? It's amazing...and they sell way more than shoes now.
Todd designed a scavenger hunt for students with the purpose of helping them learn more about the retail industry and Shoe Fly. ๐
When you need shoes this spring, buy them from Shoe Fly. Great people, great service, and they support the next generation.
Thank you Shoe Fly for hosting Arrows! We had a terrific experience! ๐ฏ
