Such a fun start to our first ever Elementary String Camp. The kids are learning so much! We’re spending lots of time working on our bow holds, posture, and playing and reading music, and are also playing lots or steady beat and rhythm games. Thanks so much to our always supportive administration and to the JH for so graciously hosting camp. This has been such a great experience!!🎻🎶

The 2025-26 Altoona Area High School Vocal Ensemble had their very last rehearsal today. Hear them Friday evening at Mansion Park During the Commencement Ceremony.

One final field trip for the 2025–2026 school year! Our 6th grade students of the Altoona Junior High Fine Arts Department enjoyed the day at Kennywood Park. So much fun was had by all.

We received many compliments from park staff and visitors as we walked around the park - particularly on their behavior, politeness, and overall kindness from our group. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and the positive way they represented Altoona throughout the trip.

Thank you to our students for making the day so enjoyable, to our chaperones for their support, and to our families for encouraging and supporting the arts all year long. We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved summer break! 🎢🎶☀️

Students from the Fine Arts department participated in ‘Toona Tune Up today, where they participated in community service work throughout the Altoona community all day today. This was a school wide event with 43 teachers and 274 students participating in cleaning up a total of 18 locations. These students worked very hard, and their hard work showed throughout all the spots they worked on. 🎶

On Friday evening, the Altoona Area High School Fine Arts Department gathered to celebrate the year, our seniors, and present awards and scholarships to our students. Of course, fun was had afterwards with the year end party and bowling!

Congratulations to our seniors and to all of our students on a fantastic year!

On Wednesday, May 27, 250 students and adults from the Altoona Area High School Fine Arts Department hit the Big Apple to do some sightseeing and take in Broadway shows which included, Schmigadoon!, Wicked, Chess, & Juliet, and Hadestown!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our amazing accomplishments for this year in New York City!

The 7th and 8th graders from the Altoona Junior High Fine Arts department enjoyed a sunny day at Hershey Park today! Thanks to all of the fine arts boosters, parents, chaperones, staff, and nurses for making this possible for our students! 🍫☀️🎶

Junior High Spring Tour! 🎶 Last week, the Junior High Jazz Band, Vocal Ensemble, and Chamber Ensemble took trips to Pleasant Valley, Juniata Gap, Ebner, and McAuliffe Heights elementary schools to perform a concert for the elementary students. It was so much fun to share the music and talk about our music programs. We are so proud of our students for working hard for these tours throughout the school year! 🎶🎤🎷🎻
