Our first graders have been brewing up some creativity! After reading Room on the Broom, students brought the story to life in art class by turning ordinary egg cartons into some wonderfully wicked witch puppets! Who knew egg cartons could be so magical? We love seeing our little Comets combine reading, imagination, and creativity 🧙‍♀️✨

Today, our school briefly entered a soft lockdown due to a medical emergency on campus. This was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and privacy of everyone involved while the situation was addressed. All parents directly involved have been notified. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our students and staff safe.

We are SO proud of our Comets when they go out of their way to show kindness and help others! In a world where you can be anything, be the KIND kid!

Dixie knew that her neighbor had been facing some significant health challenges that have made it difficult for her to get around. So, she took it upon herself to spread a little Halloween cheer by decorating her porch and ramp! What a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a BIG difference in someone’s life! Be the reason someone smiles today! Great job, Dixie Rose! Your thoughtful heart and willingness to help others are exactly what being an Alton Comet is all about! We are so proud of you!!!
