Attention parents/guardians:

If you pick your child up after school, please use the route in the map provided. Parent pickup students will be escorted to the parent pickup line at approximately 2:55 PM. Please remain in your vehicle and allow school personnel to load students. Also, do not pass other vehicles unless directed to do so by school personnel. We will load three cars at a time and although we want to be as efficient as possible, our top priority is to keep everyone safe. Thank you for your cooperation and doing your part to help keep our students safe!

Alton Elementary is looking for 20 amazing businesses, churches, organizations, groups, or individuals to partner with one of our elementary classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year!

So… what does being a Community Partner mean? It means your business or group gets to “adopt” ONE classroom of approximately 15 students and be an extra source of support and encouragement throughout the school year! And NO — you are not signing up for a huge financial commitment!

Being a Community Partner could be as simple as:
🍪 Sending treats for a classroom party
✏️ Purchasing extra classroom supplies
🏀 Donating a few new playground or recess items
🎉 Surprising the class with a special treat
👟 Helping meet a specific need for a student
❤️ Supporting a classroom project or activity
👏 Or simply finding your own special way to encourage “your” class!

The whole idea is simple: instead of asking one organization to help 300+ students, we connect them with ONE classroom where they can build a relationship and make a difference. There is no required dollar amount and no expectation to provide something every month. We know our local businesses, churches, organizations, and community members already give SO much. This is simply an opportunity for those who want to be involved to connect directly with a classroom and our kids.

This man was an avid supporter of all things Alton Comets. He will truly be missed!

Mr. Tom Clary will be missed.

You couldn’t find a better man than Mr. Clary. Tom was very helpful in so many ways throughout our years at Alton Missouri live streaming. Whether he was sponsoring us, helping us setup, ingesting a plethora of information to our guys about Alton and area teams, commentating or just staying near in case we needed backup. Tom was always eager to lend a helping hand.

Tom was a pro’s pro on the headset. He was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about sports, the kiddos and of course Alton Mo. He had this smoothness about him that made you feel at ease or comfortable when he was around. He would always be careful to not step on your toes no matter which role he played.

One of the many things I loved about Tom was that he wasn’t there to hi Jack your show and try to be the star. He wanted to help in anyway he could. He had the voice, the knowledge and charisma of a play by play commentator, but never hesitated to let someone else take over if they wanted. He would have done about anything we had asked of him and he wouldn’t dare let you pay him. In fact, it was the opposite. Not only did he work for us at Alton Sports Network, but he financially backed it and never even cared if you ran an ad or not. It wasn’t about that for Tom, but more about supporting something that was supporting Alton Missouri. That town, school and area meant so much to him and it showed.

I learned alot from Tom and one thing that will always stay with me is how proud he was of his kids and family. He was all about those younger Clary’s! We talked many times about family way more than we ever talked about Basketball and even more than those old muscle car / hot rods that we both dearly loved.

I know for a fact Alton Sports Network would have never been nearly as successful as it was without Mr. Clary’s involvement, but more importantly I think I’m a better man for being around him.

Tom, for many many reasons……. THANK YOU sir, you will be missed my friend.

Our community showed up BIG for our kids today! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, over 200 students left our Back-to-School Fair with EVERYTHING on their school supply lists!

To every business, church, organization, donor, volunteer, and community member who made this possible — THANK YOU! Over 200 kids. Fully stocked backpacks. One amazing community. This is what it looks like when a community takes care of its kids 💙
