ABC Building Blocks Childcare Inc. We built our daycare with your kids in mind! We are a STATE LICENSED home daycare that is located in historic district of Alton, IL.

The entire home is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and video surveillance cameras. Our staff is certified in first aid and C.P.R. for infants, children and adults and our daycare is located just a few blocks from a local hospital and the firehouse. We are a member of the CDCA food program which allows us to provide well balanced meals for yo

ur children while they are in our care. My staff and I have an ongoing education while participating in classes throughout the year. This is to keep up on important state requirements and safety, and to better our knowledge of the daycare industry. Our Director received her teaching education from Lindenwood University and has developed a structured routine that the kids love. We have constructed our daycare with close to 1000 square feet of indoor use with a fully functional classroom for the preschool curriculum that we follow, as well as a large dramatic play room that we convert into a sleep center during nap time. Our outdoor area (pictured above) is equipped with a tricycle path (with tricycles, cozy coupes, wagons, scooters, etc…), Gazebo (that we have made into a cooling station), recycled music wall, swings and balance area, and lots of equipment to keep the kids engaged in gross motor movements! This spring we will install the entire playground with sun sails to provide tons of shade for the children as they play. With our program in our home, the kids receive better one on one care and there is a bigger level of comfort in the environment. The kids that are enrolled in our program will receive excellent loving care and learning. Our daycare offers daytime care, with hours from 7:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.

As another chapter comes to a close, our hearts are so full. 💙

Today we celebrate our amazing graduates Kaylee, Malick, George, Reid, and Jack as they move on to preschool and kindergarten! We are so incredibly proud of each of you and all you’ve learned, the friendships you’ve made, and the wonderful little people you’ve become. Watching you grow has been one of our greatest joys.

To all of the families who have trusted us with your children, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your children’s lives and for believing in the love and care we provide every single day.

Running a daycare is so much more than a job—it’s pouring our hearts, time, patience, energy, and endless love into each child who walks through our doors. Every hug, every milestone, every laugh, and every little accomplishment becomes a part of our story too.

Saying goodbye is never easy, and we are going to miss these sweet faces more than words can express. While our hearts are a little heavy, they’re also filled with pride knowing these amazing kids are ready for their next adventure.

Congratulations, Kaylee, Malick, George, Reid, and Jack! We know you’ll do incredible things, and we’ll always be cheering you on. Remember, you’ll always have a special place in our hearts. ❤️🎓

Today is a bittersweet day as we celebrate Wrenley’s last day with us. 💕

Wrenley has brought so much joy, laughter, and sweetness to our daycare family. We have loved watching her learn, grow, and create special memories with her friends and Brian and I. While we will miss her smiling face every day, we are so excited for all the adventures and opportunities that lie ahead.
