Motivational Mondays.

The after school students rose to the challenge of keeping their minds sharp with their quiet time. Whether it be working hard on their homework, selective reading or even math or writing brain teasers, they continued to learn new things as well as be open-minded!

When the work was done we worked on cooperative games. Whether that be fun to go, the Human knot & Group untangle challenge, or team building outside, it was exciting to see the individual skills we learned last week combine with other talents to work together.

Excited to do more activities this week to not only learn about and with the students but grow together!

Our first full week of school has been huge success. I am proud of all them. We been learning new rules, new songs, and books.

Tremendous and Thriving Thursday! Yesterday the Wolf 🐺 Pack School age kids built community! Kids designed custom art trading cards with their own logos and interests. We read after snack, played a "This or That" carpet game to learn about each other, welcomed Andy for a visit, and wrapped up with our favorite Just Dance songs!
Lesson Activities
Art: Created custom trading cards with unique logos and personal interests. Reading, Math and/or Homework: We enjoyed quiet reading time right after snack as well as our given homework assignments and brainteasers. Get to Know Us: Played a lively "This or That" game on the carpet.Special Guest: Andy came by for a visit and extra fun, with the fun challenge game "Andy's Coming". Bonding: Danced and sang along to favorite Just Dance tracks indoors.

Terrific Tactile Tuesday!
Yesterday I had so much fun learning more about our kiddos, their likes and their skills. Today we got to explore our favorite things in a tactile way with an art expression.
"My Favorite things Multi-Sensory Prints"; where we tried making our favorite things on a plate to transfer onto painted aluminum. Thus, making our mirrored favorite things!
Then our science choice; our friends tested each others sense with some different fragrances to see which they liked or didn't! With a guessing that smell element!

With free play games outside and even a new game called "Two truths and an animal face", I truly enjoyed learning more about my students. I hope they enjoyed it too!

Marvelous Monday this past Monday with after school!

Introducing Ms. Brooklyn's Wolf Packe! This week's theme is "Get to Know Me"; where the skill focus is to identify what makes us, "us" through different activities.
Yesterday, we did an art project, "All About Me"
", where the kids make self portraits with scraps or cut pieces of paper to make their faces.

For science, our kids became little detectives and used different media to show their fingerprints. Seeing with the use of Plato, ink, pieces of paper and magnifying glasses/ microscopes; they partnered up to identify which type of fingerprint shapes they thought they had.
Whether that be the arch, the whorl or the loop; we all worked as a team to find this out about ourselves.

Last, as a bonding experience and motor activity; we had fun with musical chairs with our favorite song choices.
I looked forward to more wacky and creative moments for today's activities! See you soon!
