UPDATE******Decorated Boxes are due October 23rd.

📚🎨 It’s Time for Our Annual Book Character Decorating Contest! 🎨📚
This year, we’re putting a new twist on a favorite tradition! Instead of decorating pumpkins, our Timberwolves will be creating Book Character Boxes using a shoebox-sized box and transforming it into their favorite book character.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is a family project and is intended to create meaningful bonding time between our students and their families. We encourage parents and/or family members to join in the fun as you work together to plan, create, and bring a favorite book character to life. We hope this project creates special memories while fostering creativity, teamwork, and a love of reading.
We can’t wait to see the incredible imagination and effort that our Timberwolf families put into their creations! From beloved storybook heroes to unforgettable literary characters, we know our school will be filled with amazing masterpieces.
🏆 The contest is open to all students from Head Start through 5th Grade.
⭐ There will be 3 winners in each grade level! ⭐
So gather your family, choose a favorite book character, and start creating! We are excited to see the wonderful Book Character Boxes that our students and their families design together.
📖✨ Great books bring families together, inspire creativity, and create lasting memories! ✨📖

What an exciting day for our Timberwolves! 📚🐺

Today, we welcomed author Claudia Villarreal, who shared her inspiring book, The Bully Who Learned to Love. Students enjoyed learning about the writing process, the important role of illustrators, and what it takes to bring a story to life.

Her visit was the perfect addition to our Bully Prevention Week activities, reminding us all about the power of kindness, empathy, and friendship. Students also had the opportunity to purchase autographed books and special merchandise to remember this amazing experience!

Thank you, Claudia Villarreal, for inspiring our young readers and writers! ❤️📖

🚒🔥 Fire Safety Week came to life for our Timberwolves today! Who better than our own local Alton Fire Department to teach our students about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and what to do in the event of an emergency? Through engaging presentations, students learned about fire prevention, when and how to call 911, and the importance of having and practicing an exit plan at home. They also had the opportunity to see firefighters dressed in their full protective gear, helping students feel more comfortable and confident should they ever encounter firefighters during a real emergency.
A special thank you to our counselor, Mrs. Edith Gutierrez, for organizing this valuable learning experience and to the Alton Fire Department for investing in the safety and well-being of our students! 🚒❤️
