Altavista Combined students traveled through France in July with Education First (EF) Tours and their principal, Ms Anderson. These students visited Omaha Beach in Normandy, Paris, St. Malo along with many other chateaus and castles.

During the summer of 2027, a group of ACS students will be traveling to Greece. This trip is open to not only ACS students, but parents and families that want an affordable opportunity to see other parts of the world!

It’s Morpheme Monday!

Each Monday, we’ll introduce a new morpheme—one of the smallest parts of a word that carries meaning. Then it’s your turn to put it to work!

This week’s morpheme is the prefix POLY-, meaning many.

For example: polygon — a shape with many angles.

💭 Your challenge: Think of another word that uses poly-. Write the word and your first and last name on a Post-it note, then add it to the board by the cafeteria, across from the B-wing stairwell.

At the end of the week, we’ll draw one entry from everyone who participated. The winner will be announced next Morpheme Monday and receive a prize!
