Altamont Elementary PTO Altamont Elementary School in Altamont, UT parent and teacher organization We are a K - 6th grade school located in Altamont, Utah. We are in Duchesne County.

Altamont is a rural community of about 250 people in the northeastern corner of Utah. We are at the foot of the Uinta Mountains, the only major mountain range in the US that runs east and west. Altamont has an elevation of about 6400 feet above sea level. We have cold winters and pleasant summers. Altamont is the center of a farming and ranching area that has population of about 2000.

šŸ“¢ Important Reminder for Parents:

We kindly ask that all parents/guardians call the school office whenever there is a change to your studentā€™s plans for the school day.
Please call the office if your student:

Will be absent

Needs a bus note

Will be picked up instead of riding the bus

Has a change in their regular transportation plans

Has any other last-minute change that the school needs to know about

Please call the school office as early as possible, preferably before 3:00 PM. This helps ensure that your student receives the information they need in a timely manner. Bus notes are sent out at 3:00 PM, and the end of the school day can become very busy, making it difficult to get last-minute notes and messages to students.
Please do not message your studentā€™s teacher with these changes. Teachers are busy teaching and supervising students throughout the school day and are not able to regularly check their phones or messages.
Calling the school office ensures that your message gets to the right people and that we can make sure your student gets where they need to go safely.

If your student has received free or reduced-price meals in the past, or you think your family may qualify, please visit DCSD.org and complete an application.
The previous school yearā€™s application has now expired, so families who received free or reduced-price meals MUST reapply for the new school year.
