Job Description: We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate individual to join our team as a School Nurse. This is an ideal position for someone who values good hours, great benefits, and a work schedule that closely follows a student's school schedule. The school nurse plays a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of our students.

Responsibilities:
• Provide healthcare services for students and staff
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assess and address the health concerns of students
• Maintain accurate health records
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to support students' health needs
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary

Qualifications:
• Valid New York State RN license
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Knowledge of current health and safety regulations

Raising a Beautiful Child presentation at Bethlehem Middle School

On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m., the Bethlehem Middle School counseling department will host the Hance Family Foundation for a presentation to parents and guardians entitled: Raising a Beautiful Child. This event is free and open to the public.

The Raising a Beautiful Child presentation will be held in the Bethlehem Middle School Auditorium and is for parents, educators, caregivers and others who are entrusted with raising children. The seminar will teach practical strategies and skills that will help caretakers activate self-esteem in the children they care for.

Raising a Beautiful Child will be presented by Kate Tuffy, MS Ed., BCBA. After attending the presentation, attendees will leave with new information that is vital to improving their child’s:

ability to develop coping skills;

independence in their home and community;

ability to develop accurate self-awareness;

ability to gain satisfaction from helping others.

Altamont Elementary School has an opening for a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Aide in one of our Comprehensive Skills classrooms. These rooms support about 9-11 students and typically have a teacher and four other adults in the room. These rooms are very much "Team Oriented" and the work is rewarding and meaningful. I promise your day will fly by. The hours are 7:30 to 2:00. This position comes with the full benefits package from the district.
