To follow up their recent classroom discussions on “fear of the unknown” and how writers use it to create suspense, students in Mrs. Booth’s Mystery & Suspense Lit class were able to experience a little of their own psychological fear today. Students blindly stuck their hands into various bowls and had to make their best guess at what it contained. This was a great way to show them that we aren’t “scared of the dark”, but instead, we are “scared of what MIGHT be IN the dark”.
