Got Thursday night plans?!

Come join the PTA for our monthly meeting. Tonight’s topics - Bingo Night, Craft Fair, Craft Morning and more. Starts at 6:30 in the AES library or join virtually.

Speaking of BINGO - we need your help.

Have nice new or gently used toys?! (Think like party favor items) please bring those to either school in the bingo labeled bingo prizes in the front vestibule or on bingo night. You get rid of items in your house - and kids are happy to get a prize!!!

Lastly - we will be teaming up with the village again to collect food for the Altamont Food Pantry. If you have no perishable foods to donate please bring those.

Who loves AES Bingo?!!!

Want to help keep it going?? We could really use a parent or two to chair this event 🙂 and this is a great event to help get more involved in the school community.

Our first Bingo is scheduled for Friday, October 16th - could even be a great way to shadow this event to take it over in the spring

Out of a lot of our events - this one isn’t the heaviest lift. Coordinating the sign up genius for snacks, coordinating who is selling stuff, coordinating the prizes etc

Picture day is on Thursday, October 8th. We need a parent to help (this includes making sure kids hair looks nice - and handing the paper to the photographer)

We didn’t do the best job at Open House promoting having families become members of the PTA, signing up for our volunteer list and our open donations. (But we did do great at selling books and mums!)

So we encourage and invite all families to be a member of the PTA - this doesn’t mean you have to come to meetings etc it is basically a symbolic show of support.

Volunteer email - we need all the help we can get. From bigger jobs like chairing events to smaller tasks like bringing water to sell at BiNgo - sign up to stay in the know.

Open Donations - We have tried really hard as a PTA to avoid doing a lot of fundraisers - remember the era of selling wrapping paper, candy bars etc - we have tried to avoid all those fundraisers - most the “fundraisers” we do are more community events that help bring us together. If most families gave a small amount like $10 we would have enough money to continue to fund all the events we run without having to do fundraisers.

We also still would really like a corresponding secretary - someone who is way better at the social influencing scene then these screenshot photos we are adding 🤪

Don’t forget tonight is open house! It’s a new format this year - students are invited to come with families and show off their school. It is from 6-8 but you do not need to come for the whole thing or at 6.

On the PTA side of things - you will be able to sign up to be a member or the PTA and/or be added to our volunteer email list.

We will be selling mums from Agway.

And the book fair will also be opened.
