WCA–Alpine would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Dave Hansen River Trips for providing our scholars and families with such an incredible experience on the river this weekend!

From the beautiful scenery to the excitement of rafting together, it was an unforgettable opportunity for our school community to step outside the classroom, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories together.

We are especially grateful to the entire Dave Hansen team and guides for their generosity, hospitality, professionalism, and commitment to making the day safe, fun, and memorable for our families.

Experiences like this remind us how fortunate we are to live in such an incredible place and to have community partners willing to invest in our scholars.

Thank you, Dave Hansen River Trips, for an adventure our Eagles won't soon forget!

Our 1st and 2nd grade scholars explored Ancient Greek culture and discussed some of the differences between life in ancient Greece and life. One area of focus was how people presented themselves through clothing and adornment.

They learned about the use of leaf wreaths in ancient Greek culture, including their connection to ceremonies, celebrations, and recognition. They then created self-portraits depicting themselves in Ancient Greek-inspired attire, combining their creativity with what they have been learning about the ancient world.

Our scholars are exploring constellations and learning about how people have studied the night sky for thousands of years. After examining different constellations, students created their own representations of the star patterns, which are now on display in the classroom.

They discussed how the stars were used in ancient civilizations for navigation, tracking the seasons, and determining when it was time to plant and harvest crops.
