The Texas Goat Tying Clinic is coming up September 5–6 at S.A.L.E. Arena in Alpine, Texas, presented by Sul Ross State University.

The clinic is almost full, so if you have been thinking about attending, now is the time to secure your spot.

Carly Green will focus on the details that can help make your runs faster and more consistent, including:

Speed techniques for faster dismounts
Getting into position quicker on challenging goats
Ground work
Dismount and horse work
Drills designed to help uncover speed in the details of your run

This clinic is about building on the skills you already have and finding ways to improve your efficiency, consistency and confidence.

Welcome back, Lobos! Today’s features Dr. Gonzalez, who attended Sul Ross State University for his M.S. and then a dual PhD program with Texas A&M. He is now Department Chair for the Natural Sciences Department, which includes NRM, Biology, and Geology. Dr. Gonzalez says the experience in NRM made a difference for him, and the hands-on classwork, field experiences, and relationships between faculty and students can help start your career too!

Sul Ross State University’s Master of Education – General: Dual Credit Pathway offers a flexible way to build your credentials while working toward a master’s degree.

The pathway allows graduate students with teaching credentials to progress in steps:

📚 Step 1: Dual Credit Specialization Certificate — 18 credits
🎓 Step 2: Dual Credit with Advanced Pedagogy Certificate — 21 credits
⭐ Step 3: Master of Education with Specialization — 30 credits

Credits earned along the way apply toward the M.Ed., and students work with faculty to create a personalized plan of study.

Specialization opportunities include Biology, Business, English, Government, History, and Mathematics.
