Welcome to Mountainville Academy, a state-approved charter school located in Alpine, Northern Utah C

Mountainville Academy is a free (no tuition) public K-6 charter school located in Alpine Utah that opened in 2006. We are a Platinum STEM School and a Leader In Me Lighthouse School. At the heart of our philosophy is the desire to foster partnership between teachers, parents, and students and help to develop each child into a well-rounded, knowledgeable, and confident person of character.

We were honored to welcome Congressman Mike Kennedy to Mountainville Academy! A longtime Alpine resident, neighbor, and friend - Congressman Kennedy spent time visiting classrooms & talking with students about his experiences serving in Congress.
And he didn’t stop there - he even joined our students at recess! We’re grateful for the opportunity to give our students a firsthand connection to civic leadership and the people who serve our country.

Mountainville sure has TALENT! Our Find Your Voice Talent Show was packed with incredible performances—from singing and dancing to acting and more. We are so proud of our students for sharing their talents, creativity, and confidence on stage—and for truly finding their voice! We also loved taking a moment to celebrate & say goodbye to Mr. Burnett! Thank you for the legacy you left at Mountainville!

Happy 250th Birthday America!

Last week, Mountainville Academy students and families gathered on the front field to celebrate 250 years of our nation's history. Each grade represented a different decade, student leaders shared from the podium, and patriotic songs, flags, and traditions filled the morning with pride.

What a special way to honor the past and celebrate the future of our great nation! ❤️🤍💙

Our very first Kindy 500 event was a HUGE HIT!!!!!!!!
All kindergarten students created their own cardboard vehicles and “drove” from station to station enjoying meaningful activities celebrating the patriotic symbols they learned about throughout the year. They met Betsy Ross, Abraham Lincoln, and the Statue of Liberty, cruised through a super fun car wash, created adorable crafts, and munched on popcorn at the “Drive-In Movie Theater”!
It was such a fun and memorable way to celebrate our love for our country, especially during this 250th year celebration, and we are so excited to make the Kindy500 an official annual tradition for our kindergarten students!

Introducing the Charlotte’s Web Fair in Mrs. Nilson’s 2nd grade class!
Charlotte’s Web was read aloud together while students followed along. Throughout the unit, students practiced comprehension, vocabulary, sequencing, and character analysis. To celebrate finishing the book, a “Charlotte’s Web Fair” was held where students dressed as farmers, brought stuffed animals, participated in carnival games, and received fun awards. Students also watched the original Charlotte’s Web movie to compare the book and film in a fun way. It was a GREAT DAY AT THE FAIR!

Our 7 Habits Family Challenge Celebration was a perfect reminder that we are truly Better Together!
These families spent 10 weeks bringing the 7 Habits home—learning, growing, and connecting together—and we wrapped it up with a picnic-style celebration! 🐜
So much joy, connection, and heart in one evening. We loved celebrating these families!

Grandparents Day = pure joy!
We loved welcoming our amazing grandparents last week! From fingerprint art masterpieces to a “get to know you” scavenger hunt—and plenty of laughter along the way—memories were definitely made!
