Alpine Montessori School Since 1989 Alpine Montessori School has provided a hands-on education that fosters curiosity and independence, sparking a lifelong love of learning.

We are a non-profit school serving children ages three through sixth grade in far West Texas. Since 1989, our school has helped children learn to love learning employing the Montessori method of education. We believe strongly in the desire of children to be the best they can and we give them the tools they need to achieve this end.

“This system in which a child is constantly moving objects with his hands and actively exercising his senses, also takes into account a child’s special aptitude for mathematics. When they leave the material, the children very easily reach the point where they wish to write out the operation. They can thus carryout an abstract mental operation and acquire a kind of natural and spontaneous inclination for mental calculations. ”
