Capital Plan 2032 is Fulton County Schools' next five-year capital plan (covering roughly 2028โ2032), funded by ESPLOST โ the one-penny education sales tax that voters must renew every five years. It follows the current $1.2 billion Capital Plan 2027.
What it covers:
Facilities โ three goals: renewing existing buildings to protect prior investments, replacing or consolidating aging/inefficient buildings, and upgrading athletic facilities. Includes two new elementary schools: one in Planning Region A (south of the City of Atlanta) and one in Planning Region C (north of the Chattahoochee). Also flexible funding for playground upgrades, local school priorities, demolition of outdated facilities, and maintenance/replacement projects 2028โ2032.
Technology โ moving from device access and connectivity (the 2027 focus) to an "Intelligent Technology Ecosystem": standardized device refresh cycles, swapping aging projectors for 4K interactive flat panels, and upgrading network capacity, cybersecurity, and cabling.
Safety, security & operations โ campus security, transportation, furniture and equipment.
ESPLOST has generated more than $3.2 billion for the district since it began.
