HOW CAN WE HELP OUR HOSPITALIZED SENIORS WHO ARE RECOVERING?

When a senior tests positive for COVID-19 at the hospital, if stable, they are discharged to quarantine at “home”. They do not stay until they have a negative test result.

The problem is, many don’t have a “home” to go to. If their home was an Assisted Living community, they may not be allowed to return. If they live alone in their own home, they are still sick with no outside care, so they are still not safe.

If they can’t be safely discharged, it is becoming a bottleneck for the hospital as they do not have room to treat more critical patients. This is happening more each day.

Please send these families our way - we can help!

We are able to place COVID-19 positive seniors either in respite until they are negative and either return to their home or become a permanent resident. There are communities that are taking new residents, COVID-19 negative residents as well.

Our aim is to help the seniors and the hospitals simultaneously. These COVID-19 positive seniors still deserve to be treated with dignity.

Thank you and stay well everyone!
