A NEW ERA OF HIP-HOP IS COMING TO CORE.

We are beyond excited to welcome CALAN BRYANT to Core Dance & Acrobatics Studios, and he’s here to build.

Calan is an Atlanta-based choreographer, creative director, professional dancer and educator whose career spans television, film, national tours, the NBA, commercial entertainment and competitive dance.

His credits include:

• Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 and Raising Dion
• The NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies
• TV One’s Urban Honors
• Artists including Jagged Edge, Danity Kane, CeeLo Green, Killer Mike, Doug E. Fresh, D-Nice, DJ Spinderella, Hunxho and more
• Astra Awards recognition for choreography
• Multiple national competitive titles

Calan brings a uniquely versatile foundation built through Hip-Hop, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and African dance, but his approach goes far beyond learning choreography.

He trains dancers to understand groove, musicality, texture, rhythm, freestyle, dynamics, intention, individuality and the WHY behind their movement. His goal is to develop dancers who don’t simply execute choreography—they own it, communicate through it and perform it.

His philosophy: “Choreography that speaks like dialogue.”

Coming to Core this season:

Our goal is to build Core’s Hip-Hop program to the same elite level, depth and competitive standard as every other genre we offer—and we could not be more excited about who is leading it.

🚨 FREE COLLEGE DANCE WORKSHOP AT CORE! 🚨

We are so excited to welcome Troy University’s Department of Theatre & Dance to Core! Troy has chosen Core as their stop in our area as they share their collegiate dance program with dancers across the Southeast.

Saturday, October 17
3-6PM
Intermediate+ dancers, ages 13+
Completely FREE!

Dancers will have the opportunity to take class with Troy University faculty, learn about the collegiate dance experience, be seen by their faculty, and finish the afternoon with a showcase! This opportunity is open to dancers from ALL studios!

Space is limited and registration is first come, first served. Once we reach capacity, registration will close. Because this workshop is completely free, please only reserve a spot if you plan to attend, we want to make sure every available spot can be used by a dancer who wants to be there!

We had the best time with Groove & Gather at Mashburn’s Spirit Night at Johnny’s Pizza! Face painting, dance contests, pizza + lots of laughs… pretty solid Saturday night. Mashburn Elementary PTO Mashburn Elementary School Johnny’s Pizza Market Place

We LOVE getting our dancers out in the community, making memories and representing Core beyond the studio.

FIRST WEEK ENERGY 🔥⚡️

Here’s a little look at just a few of our classes from Week 1 of Season 10! 67 weekly classes on the schedule and they went off without a hitch. 🙌

We were having so much fun we somehow only managed to take SIX photos all week 😂 So if you got pics, send them our way, post them & tag your people!

We seriously have the BEST crew. Incredible faculty. Supportive parents. Hard-working, talented dancers. The energy at Core right now is 🔥 and this season is going to be EPIC.

And we’re just getting started.

We’re bringing Cherrise Wakeham + Brady Michael to Core for a series of drop-in Friday classes with two of Atlanta’s most sought-after dance educators and choreographers!

✨ CHERRISE WAKEHAM - Founder of Atlanta’s professional contemporary company Project 7, with choreography featured in Dance Spirit and Dance Informa. She was also a 2x Choreographer Pick for The PULSE on Tour.

🔥 BRADY MICHAEL - You can spot him as a movement artist in Netflix’s Stranger Things 5 and Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis. His class footage has racked up 3+ MILLION views, and he’s a 43x choreography award winner.

Season 10 is off to an AMAZING start! 🔥

13 classes today… and somehow I only took ONE photo because we were way too busy having fun. 😂 The studio is buzzing again, and there’s truly nowhere else we’d rather be.

We truly have the most FIRE faculty at Core. 🔥 Our dancers get to train week after week with some of Atlanta’s top industry professionals..teachers who are actively working in the industry and bringing that experience straight into our classrooms. This is training designed to take dancers to the next level and prepare them for opportunities far beyond the studio.
