As we celebrate 250 years of America, I've been thinking about how fortunate we are to do what we do.
Owning a small business isn't easy. There are long days, tough decisions, and plenty of challenges. But having the opportunity to build something that serves our community and helps kids grow is something I'm grateful for every single day.
Before GRIT, I spent my career in law enforcement serving my community in a different way. Today, I still get to serve, just in a different uniform.
Every day we get to teach baseball and softball, but what we're really teaching is hard work, accountability, resilience, and how to handle both success and failure. Those lessons stay with these kids long after the final out.
That's what makes this country special. The freedom to chase your dream, build something from the ground up, and hopefully leave the next generation a little better than you found them.
From our family at GRIT to yours, thank you for supporting local businesses and trusting us with your athletes.
Have a safe Fourth of July, and God Bless America. 🇺🇸
