Last week was Staff Appreciation Week, and the PTSO loved celebrating our incredible teachers and staff all week long! 💙

Staff enjoyed lunch from Olive Garden on Tuesday, the Chill Latte coffee and smoothie truck along with a fun gift card game on Wednesday, and we wrapped up the week with a delicious dessert bar on Friday! ☕🍰

We know how hard our staff works every single day to provide the very best for our students, and we are so grateful for everything they do.

Thanks to your generous contributions and support, we are able to spoil our staff with all they truly deserve! 🙌

Heads up for Thursday! FCS Innovation Academy

ROAD CLOSURES & PARKING INFO

Taste of Alpharetta returns to downtown this Thursday, May 14, bringing a full evening of local food, live music, competitions, and family activities from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. With thousands expected, residents and visitors should plan ahead for temporary road closures, parking impacts, and traffic delays throughout the day and evening.

Beginning at 4:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, on-street parking will close in designated downtown areas. Any vehicles remaining in closed zones are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense.

STREETS IMPACTED:

🚧 MILTON AVENUE
Fully closed from Hwy 9 to the entrance of the 92 Milton Avenue Parking Deck.

🚧 OLD ROSWELL STREET
Completely closed.

🚧 OLD CANTON STREET
Closed to through traffic – hotel valet access only.

🚧 ROSWELL/CANTON STREET
Closure begins 7:30 AM
Fully closed from Old Milton Parkway to School Drive
Access to School Drive from Mayfield Road restricted to residents and event parking only

🚧 COMMERCE STREET, MARKET STREET, & N/S BROAD STREETS
All streets completely closed.

🚧 HIGHWAY 9
Closure begins 10:00 AM and remains closed until approx. 1:00 AM Friday. Closed from Academy Street to Old Milton Parkway
All closures are expected to remain in place through approximately 5:00 AM Friday, May 15.

Parking downtown will fill quickly, so alternative options are strongly encouraged.

Senior Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to this year’s applicants for IA PTSO’s Senior Scholarships. The field was very impressive, and the candidates have all achieved amazing things in their four years at Innovation Academy. The depth and breadth of talent, skill, service, inquisitiveness, and resourcefulness of our students are top notch.

Thanks to the generosity of our PTSO members and donors, we can award each of four seniors a $1,500 scholarship to support their continuing education.

For our Engineering Pathway Scholarship, the awardee is Lilian Vang.

In Information Technology, the scholarship goes to Hannah Glaison.

In Health Sciences, the awardee is Anish Kelam.

For our Community Service Scholarship, the awardee is Colby Gallow.

Congratulations and good luck to each of you. We are proud of all you have accomplished while at IA, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!!!
